Hand-fasting is the name normally given to a Witches wedding . A hand-fasting ceremony was valid for a year and a day. It can therefore be considered more of an engagement than a wedding and as such is not legally recognized in the United Kingdom.

However, due to recent historical events there is a new legal and binding form of union now available which is in everyway a merging of the old hand-fasting and a legal wedding. This form of service has been passed by the registrar house in Edinburgh Scotland and a license to hold such a wedding was granted to George Cameron Grandmaster of the Source Coven Network. Anyone wishing such a wedding should in the first instance contact us at: handfastings@tiscali.co.uk

Our Temple has seating available for thirty but at a push we can just about manage fifty people. Close-by and actually linked to the underground city there is a venue available for reception and a finger buffet can also be arranged from £5 per head.

We also have our own Piper available if required.

We can also have your hand-fasting cake baked and decorated by a Witch.

Anything else that you may wish for your special day can be requested by e-mail.

Canadians Paul Cameron Rickards, and Laurie Schedler, were married in Scotland's first legal Witch wedding in a vault beneath Edinburgh’s Old Town on September 21, 2004.
Speaking after the ceremony, the newly-weds said the whole experience was “wonderful“.
